Honey Bees & Bouquets
Fresh Approach is hosting an intentional afternoon that weaves together floral design, pollinator ecology and local food systems.
Dirk Kiehne of Menlo Honey will speak about how native plants and bees sustain our regional ecosystems and agricultural networks.
Geo (“Local Flower Boy”) will guide guests through a hands-on bouquet workshop inspired by Ikebana principles—emphasizing seasonality, minimalism, asymmetry and honoring nature’s movement.
Participants will create seasonal bouquets using blooms sourced from the San Francisco Flower Market and leave with a deeper understanding of how pollinators, gardens, and local food systems are beautifully intertwined.
It’s an intimate, community-centered fundraiser supporting Fresh Approach’s farmers markets and food access programs across the Bay Area.
