Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated Ad Sales Consultants to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for independent contractors who love food and beverages and want to connect with the local community. Ideal candidates will be experienced in sales, have a strong knowledge of advertising and sponsorships, and possess the ability to pitch effectively to local businesses in the food, drink, health and lifestyle sectors. This role is crucial for driving advertising revenue and fostering relationships with local businesses. The ideal candidate will possess a consultative sales approach, be skilled in building lasting partnerships and have a passion for helping businesses grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell advertising for our print magazine, online website, newsletter and local sponsorship opportunities.
- Prospect and develop relationships with local businesses, including restaurants, farms, wineries, breweries and lifestyle brands.
- Tailor advertising solutions to meet client needs and maximize their exposure to our engaged audience.
- Conduct sales presentations and negotiations, managing the full sales cycle.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and renewal of advertising contracts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling advertising packages and promotional materials.
- Track sales performance and provide feedback on market trends and client needs.
- Represent Edible Silicon Valley at networking events and community gatherings to to build connections and expand your network.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in advertising or media.
- Passion for food, beverages, and community engagement, with local knowledge or affiliation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse business owners.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms and print media is a plus.
- Ability to pitch and communicate effectively with local businesses to benefit from reaching our audience.

Partner Liaison

Compensation:Â Hourly or quarterly set rate, depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Partner Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for advertising partners once their agreement is confirmed. This role ensures a seamless and professional experience from onboarding through publication, maintaining clear communication, timely asset collection and strong partner relationships.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with marketing teams, PR representatives and business owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for advertising partners after contracts are signed
- Provide a clear overview of the ad production timeline and process
- Maintain professional, responsive communication throughout the campaign cycle
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with partners
Ad Asset Coordination
- Proactively reach out to partners each quarter to request ad artwork
- Communicate artwork deadlines clearly and follow up as needed
- Collect and organize creative assets including copy, logos, and images
- Ensure all materials are submitted accurately and on time
Event & Listing Management
- Request and collect event listings from partners for quarterly publication
- Confirm details and deadlines for inclusion
- Coordinate internally to ensure accurate placement
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the design and editorial teams to relay partner needs
- Track deliverables and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain organized records of partner communications and materials
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple partners and deadlines simultaneously
- Professional, confident, and relationship-oriented
- Experience in media, marketing, account management or hospitality preferred
